FRESHMAN (2014): Made 10 appearances... allowed two runs on three hits and completed three strikeouts in 3.2 innings against UC Riverside (4/22) ... had four strikeouts and allowed only one run on three hits during 3.1 innings of work against Pepperdine (5/10).
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Servite High School as a freshman and sophomore, then transferred to El Dorado High school his final two seasons...as a senior, he hit .360, had a 2.79 ERA in 32.2 innings of work, and he posted a 5-1 overall record on the mound...as a senior he was named the team MVP, first-team All-Century League, and tied Phil Neven for most single-season doubles with 13...as a junior, he was named second-team All-Century League...as a freshman and sophomore, he took home All-Century League honorable mention accolades.
PERSONAL: Nicholas Serveriano Romo, who goes by Seve, was born on January 11, 1995 in East Los Angeles, Calif....he is the son of Louis and Monica Romo...was also recruited by UCLA, USC, Arizona State, Oregon, Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State, but chose to attend USD for a variety of reasons....the three main reasons were the academics, baseball, and the location...other reasons were because of the people that he knew that were on the team already, other incoming freshman, and the coaching staff...notes he is named after two famous golfers, Jack Nicklaus and Serveriano Ballesteros.
