Tyler Wilson joined the University of San Diego Athletic Performance staff as Assistant Performance Coach in 2026. With experience at both the professional and collegiate levels, he designs and implements research-based strength and conditioning programs focused on movement efficiency, power development, injury resilience, and measurable performance outcomes.

Wilson oversees the strength and conditioning programs for USD's baseball and volleyball programs while assisting with football.

Prior to his current role, Wilson served as a Strength & Conditioning Fellow with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, working with the Arizona Complex League team and major/minor league rehabilitation groups in Glendale, Arizona. He assisted with return-to-play progressions, force plate testing, individualized programming, and daily workload monitoring for professional baseball athletes. Wilson also previously served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at USD, supporting men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, women’s soccer, men’s rowing, and men’s golf.

Wilson began his coaching career as an intern at USD and played outside linebacker at Benedictine College (2019–2022), earning all-conference honors and multiple conference championships.

He holds a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Strength & Conditioning with a minor in Physical Education from Benedictine College. Wilson is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
