HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football and basketball at Orange (Calif.) Lutheran High... Caught 59 passes for 1,102 yards and eight touchdowns in 20 games... Had 34 receptions for 828 yards and six touchdowns as a junior... A first-team All-Trinity League honoree... Team captain in both football and basketball.

PERSONAL: Was active in his school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) chapter...Holds a black belt in karate... He is a native of Newport Beach, Calif.
