Matt Christian

Matt Christian enters his first season at USD, joining the staff in February of 2022. 

A former FBS quarterback at New Mexico State, Christian started 21 games. During his career, he threw for 3,530 yards and 23 touchdowns, while rushing for 513 yards and seven scores.

He began his coaching career with his alma mater in 2012, and served numerous roles including graduate assistant, academic coordinator, co-special teams coordinator, and running backs coach.

White mentored running back Jason Huntley, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He also coached Larry Rose III, who set the program record for rushing touchdowns and ranks No. 25 in NCAA history for yards from scrimmage.

In 2018, Christian and the running game helped lead the Aggies to their first bowl game in 57 years.
