  • Attended Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, Calif. 
  • Earned first team honors during his junior and senior seasons. Was also named the offensive MVP, in addition to All-CIF honors in his senior year
  • Won a CIF Championship during his sophomore year
  • Also played basketball where he earned league MVP honors and first team all-league honors his senior year.
  • In addition, Lawson received first team all-league honors in his junior season, averaging 23 points per game on the hardwood
  • Was named the Freeway League MVP for being the best overall athlete across multiple sports
