USD: Kyson enters his senior year where he will again start at linebacker... selected a 2006 preseason All-American (The Sports Network)... team[apos]s top returning tackler (64) despite missing 3 games late in season due to injury... played briefly in PFL championship game... three games in double-digit tackles with season-best 14 stops in win over Yale... totaled 12 tackles with 4 for loss in road win over Dayton in earning PFL Player of the Week honors... named to First Team PFL All-Academic Squad... is a three-time PFL Honor Roll selection... in 2004 played in 8 games but missed last 3 with knee injury... still ranked 2nd on team in tackles with 73 stops (44 solo)... four games with double digit tackles including season-best 14 twice (Holy Cross & Princeton)... in 2003 he contributed 9 tackles and 1 fumble recovery (vs. La Verne)... best game came in win over Butler where he totaled 5 stops (2 solo). High School: Came to USD via Fallbrook High School where in his senior year he totaled 130 tackles and was tabbed the Co-Defensive Player of the Year and All-CIF with team going 8-4 and advancing to CIF Semifinals... During his junior campaign earned All-League and honorable mention All-CIF honors with team winning League Championship... During sophomore campaign was member of 11-2 squad that won the CIF Championship. Personal: Born on August 11, 1985 in Weiset, Idaho... Chose USD for the chance to play football while gaining and exceptional education... Also recruited by San Diego State, Colorado State, Georgetown and UC Davis...
