Biography

USD: Second-year Torero appeared in 10 games during his first season with the Toreros in 2009, playing on special teams as well as linebacker... Made five tackles and recovered a fumble... Fumble recovery occurred in 48-7 victory over Valparaiso (Oct. 10th), where he also recorded a personal-high two tackles.

Junior College: Attended Saddleback College...Competed in football for the 8-3 Gauchos.

High School: Prepped at Aliso Niguel HS...During his senior year, he was selected as a team captain...Honored as Defensive Player of the Year after registering 154 total tackles...Named to 1st-team All-Sea View League, as well as being named All-County and All-CIF.

Personal: Born on March 2, 1987...Parents are Tom Calahan and Fran Calahan...Chose USD because of its atmosphere and it being a place he can continue his education...Hopes to teach high school history and coach football...Loves baseball and is a big supporter of the Chicago Cubs...Notes he has once bowled a perfect game.
