USD: Scott Lewis enters his second year at nickelback. In 2016 he appeared in eight contests in a reserve role.  Was named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll.  When deciding on USD, Lewis understood the opportunities for a promising football career in the future and admired the outstanding academics the university offers. He chose USD over recruits from Yale, Columbia and Claremont McKenna.

High School: Berean Christian High School in Alamo, California had Lewis playing for their varsity football team for 2 years. Senior year Lewis walked away with 97 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 interceptions and 75 tackles and 2 interceptions his junior year. Both years he was recognized with All-League Honors and assisted his team to a League Championship his senior year. In addition to football, Lewis lettered in baseball for 3 years where he was also honored All-League.

Personal: Lewis comes from a family of athletic success – his uncle played with the Oakland Raiders and his sister starts on LMU’s soccer team. In addition to athletics, Lewis enjoys playing guitar and is a leader in his church’s youth group program.
