An up-and-coming coach with collegiate and NBA level experience, Brown was named assistant coach in the fall of 2019. He is in his third season with the Toreros in 2021-22.
 
With a background in scouting and analytics, Brown came to USD having last served as the Director of Player of Development at Stanford. In his role with the Toreros, the Richmond, California native coordinates the offense and assists with recruiting.
 
Brown, who played for USD head coach Sam Scholl at Santa Clara in 2013-14, spent the two years prior to USD and Stanford on coaching staffs at the collegiate and NBA levels. He served as the Director of Scouting and Game Preparation at UTEP in 2018-19 and video coordinator for the Detroit Pistons in 2017-18. He began his career as the operations manager for Team Esface Basketball Academy in Redwood City, California in 2017.
 
Following his career at Fresno State and Santa Clara, Brown played professionally with the Iserlohn Kangaroos in Germany (2015-16) and BCGO in Gries, France (2014-15).
 
In the one season with Santa Clara, Brown played in all 33 games (17 starts) and was the team leader in rebounds while averaging 7.6 points per game.
 
Prior to Santa Clara, Brown played three seasons at Fresno State, earning the team’s Defender of the Year award in 2013 and was an All-WAC selection in 2011-12.
 
A former team captain with Fresno State, Brown earned his degree in communications from Fresno State in 2013 and his master’s degree at Santa Clara in 2015.
