Biography
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2025-26)
- Appeared in 26 games while making seven starts for the Toreros
- Averaged 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 17 minutes while shooting 46.1% from the floor and 80% from the free throw line
- Registered starts in each of San Diego’s final five games where he averaged 7.8 points and 31.8 minutes, including playing a season-high 36 minutes with 12 points and five assists against Seattle U (March 6) during the WCC Tournament
- Also during that stretch, Ripp recorded a season-high seven rebounds against LMU (Feb. 21) and a season-best 13 points at Portland (Feb. 28)
FRESHMAN (2024-25)
- Played in five games, starting twice before going down to injury
- Averaged 15.2 minutes, 1.2 points, 1.2 rebounds with three total blocks amd four assists
- Was all around the box score in his collegiate debut, with two points, two rebounds – one offensive – one block, one steal and two assists in 15 minutes against Portland State (Nov. 12)
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, California
- Averaged 13 points, six rebounds, and 3.6 assists during his senior year
- Helped his team win WCAL Championships as a sophomore and junior
- Was named the WCAL Player of the Year as a senior, after earning a WCAL first team selection as a junior
- His other athletic accomplishments include being named a CCS Scholar Athlete by Cal-Hi Sports, to the All-CCS First Team by SBLive Sports, and picking up an All-NorCal First Team selection from West Coast Preps
- Played club for Team Arsenal under coach Humphrey Jackson
- Was a member of the National Honors Society, and was on the Principal's Honor Roll
- Also played baseball and soccer
PERSONAL
- Son of Kathryn and Joseph Ripp
- His mother, Kathryn, played collegiate volleyball at Pacific, where she competed in the 1990 National Championship Game before embarking on a professional indoor and beach volleyball career across both the international and domestic circuits
- His brother, Jake Ripp, plays football (middle linebacker) at Boise State
- His cousin, Kade Eldridge, plays football (tight end) at Washington
- Enjoys going to the beach, playing all sports and watching movies
- Favorite food is his dad's barbecue ribs
