Biography

JUNIOR (2025-26 - UMBC)
  • Played in 32 games and started 17 times including the last 16 in the Retrievers’ run to an America East Playoff Championship and the NCAA Tournament
  • Averaged 6.5 points and 5.7 rebounds, as the big man shot 48.2% from the floor and 35.7% from three in 19.1 minutes per game 
  • Elevated his role down the stretch, grabbing double digit rebounds in nine of his last 15 games and putting up double digit points six times in his last 14 contests of the season
  • Scored 16 points in his second career DI game, going 6-7 from the field and 4-4 from deep at Dayton on Nov. 8
SOPHOMORE (2024-25 - Palm Beach Atlantic) 
  • Averaged 9.1 points and 6.5 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game across 27 appearances and seven starts for the NCAA DII Sailfish
  • Shot a terrific 51.5% overall from the floor as he went 100-194, shooting the three at a 31.1% clip (19-61)
  • Scored a career-high 21 points on 11 made field goals to go with seven rebounds vs. Saint Leo (where Coach JR Blount previously spent time on staff) on Feb. 8
  • Grabbed 14-plus rebounds on three occasions, including a high of 15 vs. Rollins on Feb. 1
FRESHMAN (2023-24 - Lincoln [Mo.])
  • Played one season for the NCAA DII Lincoln University Tigers (Mo.) where he started 24 of the 30 games he played in
  • Scored 6.2 points per game and pulled down 5.7 rebounds per game on the season
  • Shot a stellar 49.7% from the floor and 36.6% from three
  • Scored a season-high 19 points against Spurgeon on Jan. 16
  • Grabbed double digit rebounds on six occasions 
HIGH SCHOOL
  • Was nicknamed “Tanchyn the Machine” while in high school at IES Litoral in Málaga, Spain
  • Won four gold medals with the Andalusian Basketball Federation 
  • Achieved a gold medal in the U18 Championship Challenger with the Spain national team in both 2021 and 2022
  • Took home three gold medals with Málaga in the Provincial Championship of regional teams
