Played in 24 of Texas A&M’s 30 contests as a freshman … Appeared in 15 conference games … Averaged 8.0 minutes a game along with 1.9 points and 1.6 rebounds … 45 total points and 35 rebounds in 193 minutes … Shot 45.0% from the field (18-of-40) … 3-of-13 from three-point range (23.1%) … In 15 conference games, he averaged 2.1 points on 52.0% shooting (13-of-25) … Scored a season-high 8 points twice, including his collegiate debut on November 6 vs. Northwestern State and then last on February 8 at South Carolina … Also had a season-high six rebounds in his first college game against Northwestern State … Scored six points and grabbed a team-high five rebounds against Fairfield … Hauled in five rebounds in the win over Texas Southern … Added five points off the bench in the win over Ole Miss … Shot a perfect 3-for-3 from the field with six points in the win at Vanderbilt … Seven points and four rebounds in final game as an Aggie on February 29 at LSU.

Nicknamed “Yeezy” … Attended Bishop Walsh School in Bel Air, Maryland after moving to the United States from Turkey in 2017 … Comes from a basketball-playing lineage as his father played professional basketball in Turkey while his mother played on the Turkish national team … Was originally recruited by Virginia Tech, Minnesota, Nebraska, TCU, Northwestern, DePaul, Georgetown, Kansas State, Penn State, Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure before selecting Texas A&M in 2019 … Committed to Virginia Tech in November 2018 but de-committed in April 2019 before committing to the Aggies as head coach Buzz Williams also went from the Hokies to Texas A&M.
