CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

• 2024 Second Team All-WIRA (Varsity Four)

SOPHOMORE (2024-25)

• MPSF All-Academic Team
• Competed in eight races for the Toreros
• Made his season debut in USD’s “C” boat, which place ninth out of 25 boats in the Collegiate 4+ race during the Head of the American Regatta (October 26)
• Recorded a second straight ninth place finish in the “B” boat of the Open 4+ race during the San Diego Fall Classic (November 10)
• Logged wins in the 2V8+ races against Orange Coast College and UC Irvine in the Redwood Shores Invitational (March 1-2) as well as a win against UCLA in the California Challenge Cup (March 1)
• Finished second in the finals in the 2V8+ race of the San Diego Crew Classic (March 29-30)
• Logged a second consecutive second place finish, before a Saturday heat victory in the 2V8+ boat during the WIRA Championships (April 26-27)
• Finished fourth in the 2V8+ race during the MPSF Championships (May 17-18)

• Competed in eight races across five regattas
• Contributed to five race wins: in the Men’s Collegiate Freshman/Novice Eight in the Head of The American (Oct. 28), the Freshman/Novice Eight and the Freshman/Novice Four during the San Diego Fall Classic (Nov. 12), the First Varsity Four race in the UCSD Invitational (April 20-21), and most notably the First Varsity Four race during the WIRA Championships (April 27-28)

• Attended Evangelical Christian School in Fort Myers, Fla.
• Was a National Honor Society member
• Did club racing for Maddux Castle as a part of the Sarasota Crew
• Was the 2022 Southeast Regionals men’s four champion
• Also played lacrosse and football

• Son of Glen and Leanne Luehrman
• Has a sister, Alex, who plays tennis at Quinnipiac, and a brother, Brooks
• Loves to cook and bake … Mexican and chicken stir-fry are his favorites
• Chose USD for its excellent academics and beautiful views on and around campus
• Also loves history and makes scale models of ships
