San Diego Athletics

FRESHMAN (2025-26)

• Appeared in seven events in his first collegiate season
• Helped USD place third in the B boat of the 1V8+ race at the Battleship Row Regatta (Nov. 2)
• Doubled up at the San Diego Fall Classic (Nov. 9) with wins in USD’s A boats of the Open Eight and the Frosh/Novice 8+ races
• Logged victories in the 2V8+ in both the San Diego Crew Classic (March 28-29) and the San Diego City Championships (April 11)
• Recorded a runner-up finish in the 2V8+ at the WIRA Championships (April 25-26) and a 2V8+ victory at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 8-9) to wrap up his freshman campaign

FALL 2025

• Helped USD to first place in the Open Eight+ at the San Diego Fall Classic
• Also aided in a Torero first place finish in the Frosh/Novice 8+ at the San Diego Fall Classic

HIGH SCHOOL

• Attended West Seattle High School  
• Ran Cross Country and placed third at regionals
• 2023 Cross Country Most Spirited Award
• Honors include Seal of Biliteracy, National Honors Society, High Honors, AP Scholar with Distinction and was an Eagle Scout

PERSONAL

• Is considering a major in Biomedical Engineering
• Son of Elif and Chard Caron, born in Seattle, Wash.
• Says he chose USD because of how great the crew’s team spirit and coaching are, along with how beautiful the weather and surrounding nature is, combined with the honors college
