• Appeared in five races for the Toreros
• Made his collegiate debut in the No. 4 spot during the 3V8+ race at the California Challenge Cup (Feb. 28) 
• Recorded his first win in the 2V8+ during the San Diego Crew Classic (March 28-29)
• Helped USD place third in the 1V8+ during the Occoquan Invitational (April 12)
• Wrapped up his freshman campaign with a third place finish in the 1V8+ at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 8-9) 

HIGH SCHOOL

• Attended ISCAT
• Five-time Spanish National Championship winner 
• Ran a 5K in 17:20

PERSONAL

• Son of Ekaterina Paleeva Paleev and Valentin Gorshkov
• Knows how to dance bachata and knows five languages
• Fun fact is that his family has more than 10 cats.
