Senior (2012): Named 1st Team All-WCC and 1st Team NSCAA All-Region... Was the WCC Player of the Month for October... Ended his career among the top-10 in a variety of categories in the USD record book, including career points (7th; 71), career goals (3rd, 30), career game-winning goals (1st; 14) and career shots (4th; 199)... Started 19 of the 22 games he appeared in on the year... Was second on the team with eight goals... Added three assists for a total of 19 points overall... Scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, at UCLA in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 18, 2012... Registered a career high 62 shots on the year.
Junior (2011): Started 15 of the 18 games he appeared in... Scored three goals with two assists for a total of eight points on the year... Led the team with 45 shots and 17 shots on goal... Tallied game-winning goals at Portland (Oct. 7) and vs. Santa Clara (Oct. 16).
Sophomore (2010): Started 18 of USD[apos]s 19 games as a sophomore, while being named WCC Player of the Year and first-team All-WCC... Led the conference with 12 goals scored, while also leading the WCC in game-winning goals (5)... Recorded two-goal games against Gonzaga (Oct. 10 & Nov. 5), Santa Clara (Oct. 17), and Saint Mary[apos]s (Nov. 14)... Had is only assist of the season against Houston Baptist (Sept. 26)... Tallied 25 points on the year... Led the team in shots (52)and shots on goal (26)... Was a perfect 3-for-3 on penalty kick opportunities.
Freshman (2009): Named WCC Freshman of the Year after leading the team in goals (7) and points (19)... Also earned first-team All-WCC honors... Recorded game-winning goals against San Diego State (Sept. 6), San Francisco (Oct. 4), and Loyola Marymount (Oct. 25)... Started all 18 games he played in as a freshman for the Toreros.
Prep/Club: Attended Carlforsha Gymnasiet High School in Sweden ... Played in 14 matches scoring 19 goals and tallied 10 assists as a senior earning him MVP honors ... As a freshman played in 16 matches scoring 12 goals and three assists earning MVP honors and Player of the Year ... Will compete for a starting position this fall.
Personal: Born on May 3, 1990 in Vasteras, Sweden to Peter and Margareta Wallen ... Was also recruited by North Carolina (Chapel Hill, Washington, Santa Barbara, and Wake Forrest among other schools ... Chose to attend USD for the soccer program, the location, and the educational reputation.
