Bryanna Castro

Bryanna Castro joined San Diego softball as a volunteer assistant coach in February 2021.
 
Castro brings collegiate playing experience to the Torero staff as a former softball scholar-athlete at Ole Miss. Castro competed for three seasons with Mississippi, helping lead the team to a 2017 SEC Championship and an NCAA Regional Championship.
 
Castro was recognized beyond the playing field as an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and a Student-Athlete of the Month in 2018. She is also a three-time SEC Honor Roll recipient.
 
Prior to her time at Ole Miss, Castro competed for one season at McNeese State and was named an All-Southland Conference first team selection in 2015. Castro hit .309 in conference play with one home run and 10 RBI.
 
She was also recognized at McNeese for her work in the classroom as a Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient.
 
Castro began her collegiate coaching experience as a graduate assistant at Belhaven, working with the pitching staff and focusing on mental strength training. She also served as a volunteer assistant coach at Santiago Community College for one season.
 
Castro earned her bachelors in Sports Recreation Administration in 2018, before going on to earn her master’s degree in Business Administration.
