JUNIOR (2006-07): Played a role in the biggest turn around in program history, a 12-game improvement...helped lead to the best record in program history at 21-8...played in 24 games as a reserve guard for the Toreros...scored a career-high eight points in a win against Georgia Tech (11/24/06).
SOPHOMORE (2005-06):
Played at Ohlone College...named first-team All-Sierra Conference and second-team All-State...led the state in assists with an average of 7 assists per game...averaged 17 points per game to rank in the top-10 in the state...also ranked in the top-10 in California for three-point field goals made, three-point percentage and free throw shooting percentage...was named her team MVP and was selected to the All-Sierra League Tournament team.
FRESHMAN(2004-05):
Played at Oregon State University.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Earned four varsity letters playing for Erin Davenport at Castro Valley High School...named first-team All-Hayward Athletic Leagaue as a sophomore, junior and senior...helped lead her team to a league championship as a junior and senior...team reached the NCS Qualifiers during her junior and senior seasons...averaged 17 points per game and six assist per game as a senior...averaged 15 points per game as a junior and 11 points per game as a sophomore.

Alcha Strane was born on February 7, 1986 as the daughter of Cheryl and Albert Strane in Berkeley, Calif....was also recruited by San Jose State and Hawaii...chose to attend USD because of the beautiful campus, the coaching staff and family atmosphere of the team...her first name Alcha is a combination of her parent first names, Al from Albert and Cha from her mother Cheryl.
