Paul Henry Fabbri joined San Diego women's basketball as a graduate assistant in August 2025, and was promoted to assistant coach in June 2026. He will enter his second season with the Toreros in 2026-2027.

In 2025-2026, Fabbri helped USD improve by four wins overall and double its league win total from the previous season. San Diego advanced to the second round of the 2026 WCC Tournament with a 66-62 first-round win over Saint Mary's at Orleans Arena.

The Toreros built their identity on the glass in Fabbri's first year with the program, ranking second in the WCC and 65th nationally in offensive rebounds per game (13.6) and third in the conference in rebound margin (+4.2) while holding opponents to 39.6 percent shooting, the fifth-best mark in the league.

With Fabbri's assistance, Two Toreros earned 2025-2026 All-WCC recognition. Sophomore guard Kylie Ray was named to the All-WCC Second Team after finishing fourth in the conference in scoring at 15.9 points per game and ranking 15th nationally in free throw percentage at 89.5 percent, while freshman guard Olivia Owens landed on the All-WCC Freshman Team, averaging 11.4 points and 5.7 rebounds and leading the team in both steals and assists. Five Toreros also earned 2025-2026 WCC All-Academic Honorable Mentions.

A 2024 graduate of Quinnipiac University, Fabbri came to San Diego for his first full-time role in college athletics. He previously worked as a sales and marketing intern at Quinnipiac before spending a year as a sales representative for Cintas in his home state.

Fabbri grew up in a basketball family. His mother, Tricia Fabbri, spent more than three decades as head coach at Quinnipiac, building the Bobcats into a MAAC power with five NCAA Tournament appearances and a Sweet 16 run in 2017.
