JUNIOR (2007-08): Played in all 32 games...helped the team with the WCC Tournament championship...scored a season-high 10 points in a win against Appalachian State (12/28/07)...recorded a season-high eight rebounds twice, once in a win against Cal State Fullerton (12/21/07) and the other in a win against Saint Mary[apos]s (2/23/08)...scored eight points in a win against Cal State Fullerton (12/21/07) and in a win against San Francisco (2/9/08)...scored nine points against Pepperdine (2/2/08). SOPHOMORE (2006-07): Played a huge role in the biggest turn around in program history, a 12-game improvement...helped lead the team to the best record in program history at 21-9...played in 28 games...scored a season-high seven points in a win against Santa Clara (2/15/07)...pulled down a season-high eight rebounds in a win against Santa Clara (2/15/07).

FRESHMAN (2005-06)
Played in 28 games with nine starts...averaged 3.3 points per game...led the team in shooting percentage with a 49.3 percent field goal percentage...scored a career-high 12 points and career-high 11 rebounds to register her first double-double of her career against Saint Mary[apos]s (1/26/06)...scored 10 points against Pepperdine (1/8/06).

HIGH SCHOOL
Named the Sunset Conference MVP, helping Bishop Gorman High School win the league championship and post an overall record of 29-2 as a senior... McDonalds All-America nominee after averaging a double-double per game in 2004-05 (11 points/12 rebounds), while shooting 52% from the field... Earned all-state honors as both a junior and senior, leading the Gaels past Centennial in Regional Championship play in 2005... All-Sunset Conference player as a sophomore, junior and senior, as the Gaels compiled an 84-9 record during that span- reaching the state finals three straight years.... Coached by Sheryl Krmpotich at Bishop Gorman... Also played for the Las Vegas G-Ballers club program. OFF THE COURT
Born Kaila Amri Mangrum (KAY-la MAIN-grum) on January 14, 1987 in Las Vegas... Also recruited by Nebraska, Holy Cross and Southern Illinois... Chose USD for the atmosphere, particularly the size, and the Torero coaching staff... Also lettered in swimming at Bishop Gorman... Father, Charlie Mangrum, played football at St. Olaf College... Mom, Terri Taylor, also attended St. Olaf College... Participated in choir and musical theatre for four years in high school.
