Played in 27 games with three starts...was the team[apos]s second leading scorer with a 9.1 point per game average...scored a career-high 17 points on two different occasions, once against Montana State University (12/28/05) and the other against Santa Clara (1/28/06)...finished the season scoring in double digits in six of the final eight games, averaging 11.9 points per game during that stretch...scored in double digits in 14 games...capped off the season being named to the All-WCC freshman team.

Enjoyed an outstanding prep career at Royal High School in Simi Valley, California... Named an Adidas All-American, All-State Division I First Team and First Team All-CIF player as a senior... Three-time First Team All-Maramonte County pick... Averaged 19.2 points per game as a senior following a junior year in which she poured in 19.1 points per contest... Shot 45.2% from three-point range in helping Royal High School make the Southern Division IA Quarterfinals as a junior... Named Most Valuable Player at Royal High School twice... Royal[apos]s career leader in three-point field goals, assists and steals... Set single-season school records at Royal in both steals (135) and assists (185) in 2003-04... She also established a single-game school record by scoring 33 points against Burbank on December 5, 2003... The Los Angeles Times selected Winther to its 2003-04 All-Region Team... Garnered similar regional honors from the Los Angeles Daily News and the Ventura County Star... Invited to the July 2004 Adidas All-American Camp, where she was selected as an All-Star Team Honorable Mention... Awarded Most Valuable Player honors following several prep tournaments, including The Gem of the Foothill Tournament, The Nike Holiday Classic, and the Gold Coast Classic... Also played for the West Coast Waves club team.

Born October 9, 1987 in Woodland Hills, California... Now resides in Simi Valley, California... Heavily recruited by Washington, Oregon State, Santa Clara, San Diego State, Nevada, Rice and Utah State... Chose USD for the location and the basketball program.
