- Earned WCC All-Academic Team honors
- Competed in five of USD’s races in 2021, primarily in the 1V8+

- Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2020
- Rowed with University of the Fraser Valley Rowing Club (2017-2018) her sophomore and junior years
- Rowed with University of Oklahoma Varsity (2018-2020) as a fourth and fifth-year senior
- OU Rowing team lead (2018-19)
- Helped OU to a team overall second-place finish at the 2019 Big 12 Championships
- Placed fourth in 2V8+ at Big 12 Championships (2019)
- Placed 22nd in the stroke seat at Head of the Charles (2019)
- Finished fourth in 2V8+ at Cooper Springs Grand Final (2019)
- Placed first in B Final 2V8+ at San Diego Crew Classic earning the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy
- Finished first in B Final 2V8+ at Longhorn Invitational (2019)
- Placed sixth in B Final W2- at 2018 Canadian University Rowing Championships
- Placed first in U23 category at 2018 St. George’s Indoor Rowing Championships

- Selected 2018 University of the Fraser Valley Women’s MVP
- Earned the Collegiate Rowing Coaching Association Scholar Athlete Award (2019)
- Oklahoma Academic All-Big 12 first team selection (2020)

- Graduated from GW Graham Secondary in 2015
- 2015 GW Graham Student of the Year
- Also competed in basketball, earning Team MVP in 2014 and 2015
- A two-time Fraser Valley Regional All-Star (2015, First Team; 2014, Second Team)
- Selected basketball team captain for the 2014-15 season
PERSONAL
- Born in White Rock, B.C. to Paul and Shirley Steele
- Has an older brother, Jesse and younger brother, Jon
- Father, Paul was the gold medalist in the M8+ at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics; placed sixth at 1988 Seoul Olympics and is a member of the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame, Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and Canadian Rowing Hall of Fame
- Brother, Jon plays basketball for Thompson Rivers University
- Cousin, Karen Clark competed in the W8+ for Team Canada at the 2004 Athens Olympics, placed third in W8+ and fourth in W2- at 2003 World Rowing Championships, placed second in W2- at 2002 World Rowing Championships and third in W2- at 2001 World Rowing Championships
- Cousin, Amy Tutt was a Canadian Volleyball National Team member and played volleyball at the University of Washington
- Cousin, Ingrid Tutt played volleyball at the University of Victoria
- Cousin, Simone Orlando danced with the National Ballet of Canada and Ballet BC
- Lists hobbies as rowing boats
