FRESHMAN (2020-21)
- Competed in five races for the Toreros as the coxswain in the 1V4+
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
- Graduated from St. Francis Catholic High School in 2020
- Rowed with Upper Natoma Rowing Club (2018-19) and Capital Crew (2019-20)
- Coxed the women’s novice 4+, women’s novice 4x+, men’s novice 4x+ at Southwest Youth Championships (2019)
- Coxed women’s 3V8+ at Faultline Faceoff (2020)
- Recipient of a General Excellence Medal, given to students who earn a cumulative 4.00 GPA or above for all eight semesters of high school
PERSONAL
- Born in Sacramento, CA to Luis and Juanita Herrera
- Has an older brother, Luis, Jr. and younger sister, Isabella
- Served on a one-week service trip to the Bronx, NY in 2019 as part of Campus Ministry
- Held position of Head Volunteer Coordinator for Sharing God’s Bounty at St. Ignatius Parish (2017-2020)
- Hobbies include thrift shopping and running
- Anticipating a major in computer science and aspires to become a software developer
