Biography
SENIOR (2024 - WAKE FOREST)
- Earned a BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University
- ACC All-Academic Team
- Played in all 24 matches with 14 starts in the Demon Deacons College Cup National Runners-up campaign
- Started the final five NCAA Tournament matches, including the national championship
- Scored her first-career goal in the 2-0 victory over No. 20 Mississippi State (Aug. 25)
- Recorded two assists on the year coming against No. 6 Florida State (Oct. 3) and in the NCAA tournament second round against Colorado (Nov. 22)
- Finished the year with 1,181 minutes played, over 2,700 as a Demon Deacon
JUNIOR (2023 - WAKE FOREST)
- One of four players to appear in all 18 matches, started 17
- Was a crucial piece in the midfield playing at the six
- Earned her first-career start in the 1-0 victory over Appalachian State (Aug. 17)
- Went the full 90 against Army (Aug. 20) and Rhode Island (Sept. 7)
- Fired 13 shots with four on goal
- Finished tied for fifth on the team with 1,245 minutes played
- Played a role in the program-record for fewest goals allowed (15)
- Helped the team go unbeaten at home for the first time since 2007 (5-0-4)
- The team finished third in the ACC in shutout percentage (.500) and fourth in goals-against average (.833)
- Held opponents to five shots or less on 10 occasions, including zero shots on-goal three times
SOPHOMORE (2022 - WAKE FOREST)
- Did not compete, used redshirt option
FRESHMAN (2021 - WAKE FOREST)
- Played in seven games during the season and took five shots
- Made collegiate debut with 59 minutes against Youngstown State on Aug. 29
- Was on the field for 197 minutes
HIGH SCHOOL
- Played high school soccer for La Costa Canyon High School
- Played 14 seasons with City SC and was team captain for three seasons
- Named Defensive Midfielder of the Year in 2020-21 for the club
- Won the National State Cup and was a USYS Regional Semi-Finalist
- Recognized by US Soccer and was part of the USYNT player pool and attended multiple ID camps
- Led the Mindset Organization and taught younger players how to cope with stress and pressure
- Joined the inaugural Girls Academy League and won the Southwest Conference
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Jeffery and Debra Colton ... Mother, Debra, is a USD alum
- Has a twin, Emily, who transferred from North Carolina to Wake Forest to play with her where they were national runners-up together in 2024
- Played doubles in tennis in high school with her older sister Ellie
- Intends to study Neuroscience as a graduate student at USD
- On why she chose USD: "I grew up 30 minutes north of USD and my mom finished her degree at USD. I remember attending the games at such a young age and falling in love with the program. I figured it would be a full circle moment to finish my career in my hometown."
- Favorite thing to do in San Diego is to go to the beach and go on walks with her two dogs, Levi and Stella
- Is a big animal lover and advocate for the rescue community
