Biography

JUNIOR (2010): Played in 10 matches with five starts...took three total shots on the season...recorded starts against Cal State Bakersfield (9/17/10), Portland State (9/19/10), UCLA (9/24/10), San Francisco (10/15/10) and against Saint Mary[apos]s (10/17/10) ...helped the Toreros earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.

SOPHOMORE (2009): Played in seven matches with one start against Missouri State (9-20-09)... helped the team finish second in the prestigious West Coast Conference and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

SOPHOMORE (2008): Played in four matches as a defender and midfielder for the Toreros... helped the team advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament...helped the defense post a 0.75 GAA...helped the team receive a national ranking as high as No. 11.

FRESHMAN (2007): Was a member of the University of Colorado women[apos]s soccer team, but took a medical redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hickerson and the Mullen Mustangs won the 2007 5A State Championship her senior year after taking the Centennial League her junior season and losing in the state championship game in 2006. Hickerson lettered in soccer her sophomore, junior and senior season and was also an all-state honorable mention selection her junior season. She was also named team captain her senior year. Her freshman year, Hickerson lettered in tennis, where she placed third at the state tournament in No.4 Doubles. She was also named Tennis MVP and all-conference. Hickerson played her club ball for the Colorado Nike Rush, and coach Erik Bushey. Hickerson was the team captain for the Rush in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Her Rush teams won the State Cup in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006...helped lead her club team to the national championship and regional championship in 2008. PERSONAL: The daughter of Mike and Linda Hickerson, Brooke was born Sept. 29, 1989 in Hollywood, Fla. She has a younger brother, Cody Hickerson, who will be a sophomore in high school and plays lacrosse. Mike Hickerson, her father, played water polo for the University of New Mexico and swam for the U.S. Naval Academy. Her hobbies include skiing/ snowboarding and water skiing and as a child she participated in gymnastics and karate.
