Duarte Andrade

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Duarte Andrade completed his first season with San Diego women’s soccer in 2022, serving as the team’s volunteer assistant goalkeepers coach.

With guidance from Andrade, freshman goalkeeper Sophine Kevorkian set a new single season Toreros save record with 96 in his first year at San Diego.

Andrade brings both a wealth of experience and deep local ties to Alcala Park, having attended both nearby Point Loma High School and Point Loma Nazarene University, where he played soccer collegiately.

Prior to USD, Andrade coached with the Del Mar Carmel Valley (DMCV) Sharks soccer club, and at San Diego Mesa College and PLNU.

A two-time Sharks Boys Coach of the Year nominee while with DMCV, Andrade helped steer two Sea Lions players (Ryan Daniels and Ryan Pearce) to PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year honors, and aided the Pointers in a pair of CIF Championships and a finish as finalists in the CIF Open Division.
