Leigh Ann Brown is entering her eighth season as an assistant coach and seventh under head coach Louise Lieberman, and assists the Torero soccer program with all aspects of the game.

During the 2022 season, Brown helped assist the development of All-WCC Freshman Team honoree Cameryn Maddox, who emerged as one of the top young offensive players in the WCC.

Brown, formerly Leigh Ann Robinson and a four-year starter for the Toreros from 2004-07, played a key role in leading the Toreros to two NCAA Tournament appearances (2004, 2007) and to a total of 45 victories. The 2007 squad, her senior year, finished 15-3-3 overall and reached a program-best ranking of No. 9 in the country. Postseason honors included fourth-team All-America (Soccerbuzz), second-team All-West (Soccerbuzz), second-team All-Far West Region (NSCAA) and first-team All-West Coast Conference.

Prior to her senior campaign she was recognized with additional honors -- first-team All-WCC (2006); third-team All-Far West Region (NSCAA, 2006), and second-team All-WCC (2005). For her career, she finished in the top-10 among numerous Torero records including sixth in career points (48) and assists (18), and ninth in single season records for points (25) and assists (8), both achieved in 2006.

Following graduation, she was drafted in the sixth round of the 2009 WPS Draft by the FC Gold Pride. Her professional career included stops with the FC Gold Pride, Atlanta Beat, and Philadelphia Independence. In 2012, Leigh Ann joined the Torero Coaching staff for one season gaining valuable coaching experience. Following the season she joined FC Kansas City where she was part of back-to-back NWSL National Championship teams. Leigh Ann also received her first call up to the United States senior team by U.S. Head Coach Tom Sermanni and she would go on to earn two caps.

Brown was inducted into USD's Chet and Marguerite Pagni Family Athletic Hall of Fame for extraordinary athletic success on Saturday, April 30, as part of the 2016 USD Alumni Honors at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Theatre. She is the first women's soccer player to be inducted into the USD Hall of Fame.

A native of San Diego, Leigh Ann graduated from USD with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Spanish. She is married to former USD men's basketball player Danny Brown.
