- Attended Brea Olinda High School where she played under head coach Mike Knaus
- Only missed four games in her first three years of high school
- Missed her entire senior year due to injury
- As a junior, she was team MVP and 1st team all league while being the captain and scholar athlete
- Made it to semi-finals of CIF as a sophomore
PERSONAL
- Born in Fullerton, California to parents Dave and Janet Melanson
- Chose USD because it is the perfect distance from home and such an amazing campus
- Was also recruited by University of Arkansas
