SAN DIEGO – Anthony Lawrence and
Michael Bandy were unanimous All-Pioneer Football League selections as 14 Toreros players earned all-conference honors, as announced Tuesday by the league.

The Toreros had 13 players selected to either the first or second teams – the most of any team in the conference.

Lawrence earned his third straight first-team selection after a season in which he became the PFL's all-time leading passer. Bandy enjoyed a breakout season, setting the USD single-season record for receiving yards, and earned the first first-team honor of his career.

Daniel Cooney and
Jake Michaels helped ensure the prolific offensive production between Lawrence and Bandy by solidifying the offensive line and were recognized with first-team honors. It is the third first-team honor for Cooney and the first for Michaels.

Nick Friedel represented the Toreros on the All-PFL defensive first team.

Michael Armstead was named the All-PFL Special Teams Player of the Year and added All-PFL first team accolades to his list of honors.

Emilio Martinez and
Aidan Valencia claimed All-PFL second team recognition on offense, while
Connor Spencer,
Kama Kamaka,
Kim Mahoney and
Arrion Archie earned second team honors on defense.

Tanner Kuljian earned All-PFL second team honors on special teams and
David Tolbert was an honorable mention on defense.
