All first year students are assigned to an advisor referred to as a "Living Learning Community Faculty Advisor." Until a student declares a major the LLC faculty advisor will be their primary academic advisor. Students must meet with their LLC faculty advisor each semester in order to register for classes. Once a student declares a major they will have a faculty advisor assigned in that department. Athletic academic counselors do not have access to the registration system to remove advising holds from accounts.
In addition to a faculty advisor, student athletes may also meet with the athletic academic counselors to discuss academic plans. It is the student-athletes responsibility to meet with the athletic academic counselors to ensure that they are keeping up with NCAA academic eligibility and progress toward degree requirements.
