(San Diego, CA) - The USD Toreros lost its second consecutive West Coast Conference home game, dropping a 75-59 decision to visiting St. Mary's Saturday afternoon at USD's Jenny Craig Pavilion.
San Diego (7-13; 2-5 WCC) trailed by just four at halftime, but St. Mary's (11-9; 3-4 WCC) went on a 14-4 run to open up the second half.
Lindsay Helvey made four three-pointers and finished with a team-high 14 for the Toreros. USD guards accounted for 51 of San Diego's 59 points with Polly Dong (12) and Ashley Voisinet (11) both scoring in double figures.
Saint Mary's senior standout and San Diego native Triola Jackson scored 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. Jackson and Erika Urmonaite both cleared a game-best seven rebounds for a Gael team that out-rebounded the Toreros 40-26.
