Christie Dawson had 27 kills as San Diego (15-4; 4-3 WCC) dropped a 3-1 home loss on league rival San Francisco Saturday night at USF's War Memorial Gym. Dawson, a two-time All-WCC middle hitter, had just seven errors in 54 attacks to hit .370. Game scores went (30-26, 30-24, 25-30, & 30-24). The Dons fall to 15-8 and 2-5 within the WCC. USD had lost two straight.

All-American Lindsey Sherburne, the league's assist leader each of the last two seasons, passed out 58 assists in four games (14.5 apg) for USD. Sherburne also had 11 digs and four kills while setting San Diego to a .318 attacking clip in the opening game.
