(STEVINSON, CALIF.) - The USD men's golf team is competing in the 7th Annual University of Colorado-Stevinson Ranch Invitational, a two-day, three round format being played at the 7,206 yards, Par-72 Stevinson Ranch Golf Club in Stevinson, California. After two rounds the Toreros find themselves in 11th place (14 teams) at 602 (303-299). The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:00 am.
USD is being paced by Jimmy Harris, currently tied for 20th place with a two-round total of 148. He shot a 2 over par 74 in the morning round and followed that up with another 74 in the 2nd round. Following Harris, the Toreros are being paced by Luke Antonelli (T26; 75-75, 149), Mike Shelly (T36; 77-74, 151), Brian Phan (T50; 77-77, 154), and Garrett Lipus (80th; 83-81, 164).
Kansas leads the 14 team event through two rounds with a team score of 573 (286-287). The Jayhawks are followed by Missouri (579), Nebraska (584), Colorado (585) and Denver (585). Two-round individual leaders include Kevin Ward of Kansas (132; 68-64), Edward McGlasson of Colorado (139; 70-69), Ben Kern of Kansas State (139; 71-68) and James Love of Denver (139; 70-69).
