UC Irvine (1-10) managed just 20 second half points to lose for the tenth time in eleven tries. First-year Toreros head coach Cindy Fisher used 12 different players, with Irvine native Ashley Voisinet (10) and Simi Valley product Kelly Winther (10) joining Harris in double-figures.
USD shot a blistering 69% (18-of-28) from the field and went 8-of-10 from the free-throw line during the final 20 minutes of play. San Diego will open up West Coast Conference play at home with a 7pm meeting with Loyola Marymount next on the schedule.
