USD vs. SDSU Complete Results 
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's swim team lost to San Diego State 136.5-112.5 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon from SDSU's Aztec Aquaplex. The meet consisted of 14 swimming events and diving that will be contested at a later date. The day was highlighted by a pair of new team top times for the season as freshman
Keenan Lineback established a new team-best in the 1000 free when she took second with a time of 10:18.81. Fellow freshman
Taylor Noonan posted a team-best in the 200 back with her time of 2:07.77 en route to a second-place finish on Saturday.
The meet started with USD's A relay (Deckard, Andruzzi, Stone, Kimmel) taking third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.31. They were followed in the top-five by the B relay (McCarthy, Rodriguez, Burmood, Phillips) in fifth place with a 2:02.87.
After Lineback captured second in the 1000 free, Francesca Finucane came up with another runner-up finish in the 200 free as she clocked a 1:52.12. She was followed right behind by Noonan, who tied SDSU's Melanie Garibaldi for third place with identical times of 1:52.92.
In the 100 back, Kristyn Deckard and Kelly McCarthy took third and fourth, respectively, with times of 1:02.79 and 1:07.31. Melissa Andruzzi (1:06.90) and Sarah Geerdes (1:07.86) followed that up with third- and fourth-place finishes in the 100 breast.
Eleanor Phillips clocked a 2:08.53 in the 200 fly, which was good for second place. After that, the 50 free saw Jacquie Kimmel earn USD's top spot in fourth with a time of 24.28, followed by Finucane in fifth with a 24.56. In the 100 free, Geerdes came in fifth with a 52.77, which marks her personal-best this season in that event. She was followed by Kelly Stone in fifth place with a 54.75.
The Toreros then captured the third spot in the 200 breast as Andruzzi registered a time of 2:24.68, and, despite a seventh-place finish in the event, Katie Olsen posted her best time of the season in the 200 breast with a 2:36.42.
The final four events were all swam as exhibitions for SDSU, however Sandrine Urias swam a personal season-best in the 500 free with her time of 5:19.87. Meanwhile, Noonan (59.20), Geerdes (59.84), and Erica Burmood (1:01.98) also posted personal season-bests in the 100 fly. Lineback and Olsen each clocked personal season-bests in the 200 IM with times of 2:09.73 and 2:17.56, respectively.
USD now turns its attention to the MPSF Championships Feb. 15th-18th in Long Beach, Calif.
