Toreros place 11th at Duck Invitational

(Eugene, OR) - The USD men's golf team shot a final day team score of 303 to finish at 899, good for 11th place at the 2013 Oregon Duck Invitational. The two-day event was held at the Eugene Country Club (par 72; 7,020 yards). Host Oregon won the team title with their 6-under par total of 858. The SMU Mustangs finished three strokes back in the fifteen team field. Oregon's Jonathan Woo won medalist honors with his 8-under par 208 (67-69-72). He held off challenges from Cody Blick of San Jose State, and Louis Cohen Boyer of Wichita State - both finished two shots back at 210.

San Diego was paced by sophomore Grant Forrest (T22 at 220; 74-70-76), junior Joe Carlson (T41 at 224; 75-74-75), sophomore Linus Vaisanen (T53 at 226; 76-73-77), sophomore Mathias Dahl (T71 at 231; 79-77-75), and freshman Skyler Finnell (T81 at 236; 83-75-78).

Next up for the Toreros will be the Arizona State University Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Arizona at the Karsten Golf Course, April 5-7.
