TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The University of San Diego golf team finished 12th in the NCAA Regionals after shooting a 296 in their final round. Alex Chiarella paced the Toreros with a overall score of four-over (220; 72, 70, 78).
Taylor Schmidt led the Toreros on day three with a 70, finishing with an overall score of 225 (plus-nine, 79, 76, 70). Joe Carlson, who shot an even par in each of the first two rounds, finished with a 223 (plus-seven). Grant Forrest finished with a 226 (plus ten, 76, 77, 73), and Mathias Dahl shot a 231 (79, 77, 75).
North Florida won the team competition with a -31 (830; 272, 277, 281). Washington (833; 276, 275, 282), Florida State (836; 277, 276, 283), Georgia Tech (849; 280, 284, 285), and Oklahoma (854; 284, 281, 289) were the other teams to advance.
Washington's Cheng Tsung-Pan posted the best individual score with a 201 (-15; 67, 67, 67).
