Ederaine scored her team-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field, and going 5-for-10 from the free throw line. Malina Hood was the next Torero to score in double figures, as she had 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting, while Amy Kame had 12 points and Alysse Barlow added in 11. As a team, USD shot 44.6% from the field and were out rebounded 48-38.

In the first half, a Kame jumper sparked a 10-3 run over the first three minutes of action, to give USD the early momentum. The Tigers then responded with a 12-2 run over the next three minutes to give the home team a 15-12 lead with 13:40 to go.

The two teams then began to trade baskets and the game saw three lead changes and two ties over the course of four minutes. Then with the score knotted at 23-all, a pair of Kameron Knutson free-throws sparked a 10-0 Torero run to give USD its first double digit lead of the game at 33-23 with 7:07 to go.

San Diego then went on a 10-5 run to take its biggest lead of the half at 43-28 with 4:26 to go. Pacific then managed to close out the half on a 9-2 run to cut the lead down to eight, at 45-37 heading into the break.

In the second half, the Toreros managed to hold onto the lead over the first three minutes of play, before a pair of Kiki Moore free throws sparked a 16-2 Tiger run to take a seven-point lead of their own at 58-51 with 11:33 to go.

The Toreros then answered back with a 17-5 run of their own to take a 68-63 lead with 6:41 to go. However, foul trouble began to sink in for the Toreros, as three Toreros were with four fouls, and two others with three. The Toreros would keep things close and with the game tied at 70-all and just 4:10 to go, the Tigers would manage to hit 10 free throws down the stretch, as three USD players fouled out and Pacific would win the game.

The Toreros will return to action on Saturday, as they remain on the road and head to Moraga, Calif. to take on the Gaels of Saint Mary's College.
