SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Both Malina Hood and Maya Hood recorded double-doubles, and Katherine Hamilton just missed a double-double to help propel the University of San Diego women's basketball team to a thrilling 67-58 overtime West Coast Conference win over the University of San Francisco Thursday evening at War Memorial Gym.

With the game knotted up at 58-all and 3:39 remaining in the overtime frame, Sydney Williams stepped up and hit a 3-pointer to spark a 9-0 run for USD over the final three minutes of action, to seal the victory for the Toreros.

With the win, the Toreros improve to 13-2 overall, move to 3-1 in the WCC, and have now won six of their last seven games. With the loss, the Dons fall to 10-6 overall and 1-4 in the WCC.

Malina Hood led the USD scoring effort with 16 points, while pulling down 10 rebounds to post her second double-double of the season. Her sister Maya Hood recorded her team-leading eighth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Hamilton recorded 11 points and just missed the double-double with nine rebounds, while Sydney Williams added in 11 points herself.

As a team, USD shot 36.9% from the field, while the Dons sot 39.0% from the floor. The Dons out rebounded the Toreros 41-40, while USD committed 16 turnovers, and forced the Dons into 23 turnovers.

For USF, Taylor Proctor led the way with a game-high 22 points, while pulling down 14 rebounds to post a double-double. Zhane Dikes (15 points), and Rachel Howard (11 points) were the only other players in double figures.

The Toreros will return to action on Saturday, as they remain in the Bay Area and head over to Santa Clara to take on the Broncos of anta Clara University in a 2 p.m. WCC game.
