SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Four different University of San Diego women's basketball players scored in double figures, paced by senior guard Katherine Hamilton's 17, to help propel the Toreros to 103-50 win over Cal State Fullerton in the season-opener for both teams Friday evening at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Hamilton scored her 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, while also recording four assists, and two steals. Maya Hood nearly had a double-double, as she scored 16 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, while pulling down nine rebounds. Sydney Williams was the third Torero in double figures, as she had 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field, and Cori Woodward scored 10 points, and just missed a double-double herself with eight assists.

As a team, USD shot 58.8% from the field, while the Titans shot a dismal 29.1%. The Toreros out rebounded the Titans 42-34, and USD committed 10 turnovers, while Fullerton had 24 turnovers. The 103 points that the Toreros scored is the second highest single-game point total in program history.

For the Titans, Iman Lathan led the way with a game-high 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting from the field, while pulling down five rebounds. Dhanyel Johnson led the team with eight rebounds, while Keimeshia Walkers chipped in with eight points.

San Diego will return to action on Monday, as they head up to Northridge, to take on CSUN in a 7 p.m. non-conference game at the Matadome.
