Day One ASU Thunderbird 2017

TEMPE, AZ - The USD Toreros completed day one at the 2017 ASU Thunderbird Invitational. USD shot team scores of 301 and 302 and their 603 team total has them in 16th place with one round to go. Host ASU is the clubhouse leader at 531, nineteen strokes better than runner-up Colorado State. ASU teammates Chun An Yu (67-63) and Blake Wagoner (67-63) are tied for first at 130.

Regan Kilpatrick, playing as an individual, carded USD's low two-round total at 145 (T46, 73-72). Team scoring was paced by Nick Baines (T57 at 147, 71-76), Camilo Mexsen (T67 at 149, 77-72), Dalton Hankamer (T76 at 153, 78-75), David Ricciardelli (79 at 156, 77-79) and Nathan Zhao (T82 at 159, 76-83).

The third and final round will be Sunday morning.
