Day 1 Results Desert Mountain

Scottsdale, Ariz.The Torero golf team is competing in the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Arizona this weekend. After two rounds today the Toreros are in 12th place at 606 (303-303). Senior Nick Baines and sophomore Nathan Zhao are tied for 15th overall at 143. Zhao fired rounds of 71-72, while Baines followed an opening round 75 with a 68. Michigan is the team leader at 562, while UM's Reed Hrynewich is the clubhouse leader at 134 (68-66).

Rounding out Torero scoring is Dalton Hankamer (61st at 159; 78-81), Daniel Lopez (63rd at 161; 79-82) and George Gardner (65th at 167; 85-82). Final round play will be on Sunday morning.
