SAN DIEGO, Calif. - On Saturday afternoon the Toreros (4-5) earned their second win of the week against Brown University (6-3). The Toreros defeated the Bears 6-1.

USD's No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams clinched the doubles point early in the match. Gemma Garcia and Nicole Anderson at the No. 3 spot took the first win from Brown's Jack and Simon (6-1). The second win was from the No. 2 team of Maria-Paula Torres and Sophia Chow. They defeated Maddie Stearns and Mariska Chamdani 6-1.

In singles play the Toreros won all but one match. At the No. 3 position, Gemma Garcia was first to defeat Stearns 6-1, 6-0. Next to take the victory was Colomba DiFilippo. She beat Jack 6-3, 6-4. Nicole Anderson defeated Alyza Benotto 7-5, 6-3 at the No. 1 position.

Maria-Paula Torres won her match against Katie Ta at the No. 5 position (4-6, 7-5 (10-8)). The only match Brown won was against Sophia Chow in the No. 5 spot. Cosme defeated Chow 6-3, 7-6 (4). Last to win was Daniela Morales, who beat Dayna Lord 6-4, 2-6, 7-5.
