April 22, 2017 Final 2017 WCC Chp Results 
Provo, Utah - The USD men's golf team fired a final round team score of 288 today at the 2017 West Coast Conference Championships being played at the Riverside Country Club (par 72, yardage 7063). USD's three-day total of 867 placed them 8th overall, just two strokes back of both San Francisco and LMU. Host BYU won the team title with their 24-under par total of 840. The No. 47 ranked Cougars were followed by No. 22 Pepperdine (847, -17) and Saint Mary's College (852).
Santa Clara's Hayden Shief and BYU's Peter Kuest each finished the three-round championship with identical 11-under par 205's. Kuest won medalist honors in a sudden death playoff he won on the first hole.
USD junior Regan Kilpatrick fired a final round 69 to move up into a tie for 20th overall with teammate Dalton Hankamer. Kilpatrick finished 1-over par for the championship at 217 (77-71-69). He was matched by Hankamer who carded scores of 70-73-74. Rounding out USD scoring was junior Daniel Lopez (30th at 219, 74-73-72), freshman Camilo Mexsen (T34 at 222, 71-78-73) and senior Nick Baines (38th at 225, 74-73-78).
