SAN DIEGO – San Diego beat LMU, 161-79, and Pepperdine, 170-67, in the WCC Cup on Friday afternoon.

USD took control of the meet from the start placing first and third in the 400 medley relay. USD's A team consisting of –
Haley Ohlson,
Kailyn Evans,
Danielle Taylor, and
Alexa Phillips – finished first in 3:57.55, an entire five seconds ahead of the next team LMU. USD's B team consisting of –
Taylor Doherty,
Lillian Benwell,
Maeve Murdoch, and
Izabella Brazell- placed third with a time of 4:06.03.

Anna Luckenbach followed the relays with a win in the 1,000 free at 10:52.87.

The Toreros dominated the field in the 50 free and 400 IM securing the top three fastest times in each race. Taylor led the field in the 50 free at 24.59,
Hannah Hudson was close behind at 24.85, and Evans secured third with 25.24.

In the 400 IM,
MK Clancy took home first place at 4:36.64, Sam Terranova in second at 4:39.23, and
Liza Kuznetsova in third at 4:47.41. The 400 IM is hardly raced in dual meets.

Alex Hubel finished 10 seconds in front of all her opponents in the 200 fly at 2:05.21.
MK Clancy finished second at 2:16.19. Hubel also placed second in the 200 free at 1:55.55.

Taylor won the 100 free at 53.12.
Lauren Quincy finished second in the 200 back at 2:12.21.

The Toreros also secured top times in the 500 free.
Grace Potis finished first at 5:13.27 and Murdoch finished second at 5:13.97.

Abby Russel posted a great early season time in the 200 breast. She finished second at 2:28.51.

Pepperdine and USD were neck and neck in the 200 free relay, but the Toreros out touched the Waves to secure the win. USD A consisting of – Hudson, Haitz, Hornbuckle, Hubel – finished at 1:39.48.

In one-meter diving
Isabel Busyn placed second in the first round with a 211.05 and Catherine McCarthy placed third with a 186.00. In the second round of one-meter diving McCarthy placed second at 141.90, Busyn placed fourth at 139.12, and Ellie Petty at 136.95.
