POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Anthony Lawrence threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns as No. 21/22 San Diego completed its third consecutive undefeated Pioneer Football League season with a 31-14 victory at Marist on Saturday at Tenney Stadium.
Â
The Toreros (9-2, 8-0 PFL) scored 31 straight points to open the game to fuel their eighth consecutive victory and extend the nation's longest conference winning streak to 29 games, dating back to Oct. 10, 2015.
Â
USD's season will continue next weekend during the first round of the FCS Playoffs with the selection show airing on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. PT.
Â

Â
Emilio Martinez did not break any records for the Toreros but he did do a little bit of everything for the Toreros on Saturday. He led USD with seven receptions and a receiving touchdown, along with a team-high 42 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
Â
The Toreros defense was excellent and shut out the Red Foxes (5-6, 5-3 PFL) in the first half. USD did not allow any points until there was 5:20 remaining in the third quarter.
