SAN DIEGO— San Diego will kick off its conference schedule on the road this weekend in the Bay Area at San Francisco and Santa Clara.

The Toreros (7-4) will take on the Dons (4-7) on Saturday at 2 p.m. PT before facing off with the Broncos (7-4) on Monday at 2 p.m. PT.

Sydney Hunter and
Patricia Brossmann each recorded a double-double in an 83-79 victory over San Jose State on Friday evening inside the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

• The Toreros used a balanced attack to take down the Spartans, finishing the night with five players in double-digits—including Hunter and Brossmann, as well as
Madison Pollock,
Leticia Soares and
Sydney Shepard.

• Hunter recorded her first career double-double, finishing with 15 points and 12 rebounds (six offensive), while Brossmann added 10 points and a team-high 13 rebounds.

• Pollock paced the Toreros with team-highs in points (18) and assists (6). Soares finished with 13 points and Shepard added 10.

Myah Pace had a team-high three steals and tied for first on the team with six assists. She also added 11 of San Diego's 62 total rebounds.

• San Diego dominated off the glass, outrebounding the Spartans 62-24, including 36 offensive rebounds. SJSU scored 49 percent of its offense from three-point range, shooting 13-of-30 while the Toreros lived in the paint (40 points). Collectively, USD shot 69 percent from the free-throw line finishing 20-of-29.Â

• The Toreros lead the all-time series with the Dons, 39-31. San Diego split the series last season with USF, winning the first meeting 60-54.Â

Myah Pace recorded a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) but the Toreros were held to 30 percent shooting from the field and 0-for-14 from three-point range to fall to the Dons on Senior Day, 47-49.

• The Toreros lead the all-time series with the Broncos, 40-34. San Diego and Santa Clara split the series last season with the Toreros losing the first meeting, 50-59.

• USD bounced back in the second meeting of the year, shooting 42 percent to seal a 51-40 victory.

Patricia Brossmann has established herself as a top performer for the Toreros this season. She leads the team in points (136), rebounds (83) and steals (21). She also leads the team with three double-doubles, recorded against Long Beach State (Dec. 6), CSUSB (Dec. 10) and San Jose State (Dec. 21).

• Brossmann is currently averaging 12.4 points per game with a 56.7 field-goal percentage which ranks first in the WCC and 39th nationally (250 ranked). She also ranks top-10 in the conference for steals (8th) and rebounding (5th), averaging 7.5 rebounds per game.

Myah Pace leads the team in assists (58), averaging 5.3per game which ranks first in the conference and 50th nationally. Pace is second in rebounds (64 total, 5.8 average) and is second on the team with 17 steals.
