Brhet Bewley followed with a double down the left-field line with two outs. Schuyler nearly had the game-winning hit in the next at-bat but a great catch by Cincinnati's AJ Bumpass in the right-field corner sent the game to extra innings.
The Bearcats rallied for three runs in the ninth and the Toreros could not keep pace, dropping the 7-4 decision.
