SAN DIEGO – Seven San Diego swimmers combined for 10 top-3 finishes but it was not enough as the Toreros fell 138-126 to San Diego State on Friday afternoon at the Sports Center Pool.

MK Clancy earned USD's lone first-place finish of the day in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking in at 2:08.78.

Kailyn Evans continued to rack up top-three finishes with three on the day, placing second in the 100 freestyle (53.72) and 200 individual medley (2:08.52), and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.25).

Liza Kuznetsova led USD in the distance events with a second-place result in the 500 free (5:20.63) and third-place finish in the 1000 free (10:42.17).

Lauren Quincy paced the Toreros in the 200 backstroke, finishing second in 2:10.36.
Maeve Murdoch also registered a runner-up result by going 59.66 in the 100 fly.

Samantha Terranova and
Sabrina Firnett earned third-place finishes in the 200 free (1:55.42) and 200 breaststroke (2:30.90), respectively.

The Toreros capped the day with a second-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. The quartet of Alexa Philips,
Olivia Adey,
Haley Ohlson and
Maeve Murdoch combined for a time of 3:39.30.
