SAN DIEGO—San Diego's Clare Adams held the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team's highest GPA for the second straight year at 3.99. 
 
Both Adams and Elli Schroeder were recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments, being named to the WCC All-Academic team as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
 
Schroeder holds a 3.80 GPA, with a double major in business economics and mathematics. The Junior raced in the 2V8+ early in the season before joining the varsity eight for the final eight races of the year.
 
It is the second academic honor for Adams, after being named to the team for the 2017-18 season. The international relations major raced the varsity eight throughout the season for the Toreros.
 
Isla Blake, Alexia Chilimidos, Gillian Duncan, Kira McPolin and Nicole Moore also earned honorable mention for their academic achievements.
 
All told, 47 rowers achieved a 3.50 GPA while 29 reached the 3.75 mark. 

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
